Hey! Spring has finally sprung up here. Well, I hope so anyway but never can tell for sure up here. Heard you were getting a little cold and ran into some sleet. Hope the weather improves. Closing on new house the 25th! Will have it all straight by the time you get here. Take care, Lots of love.

Hey y'all,

I am LOVING your journal entries and photos! Thank you so much for finding ways of sharing this adventure with all of us out here ...

I don't know if y'all knew that I was working at the UNC-CH Writing Center this year -- well, I am. One of our regular "tutees" is writing a novel as part of her Creative Writing minor. The novel is about a woman, her dog, a stolen journal, and hiking the AT Trail! I shared the site with her, and she was thrilled to be able to read about y'all's progress, stories, and experiences. In any event, I wanted to share that with you and let you know that you're not only inspiring all of us vicarious thru-hikers, but you're acting as a muse for the creative among us as well :)

With hope and peace,

Hey Josh & Amanda,

Can't believe it's been nearly 2 months since you both set out for the Trail. Your journal entries have been very entertaining, and I'm happy to read about how much you two are enjoying the experience. Not much to report from Charlote...same old, same old with my job. I'm currently in the market for a new apartment, and I'm trying to figure out a summer vacation (maybe I can track you guys down on the Trail...know which state you'll be in during July?..haha). In other news, UNC made it to the Final Four, but lost in one of our team's more embarrassing glad you didn't subject yourself to watching that shit show.

Is there any item you want / need that I could possibly send to one of your next mail drops? I didn't want to just send you a post card from lame Charlotte. I'll keep tuning in to see what's new on the Trail. Very jealous of your travels and all that you're getting to see...the most aesthetic image of my day is all the grey surrounding me in my cubicle. Take care, be safe, and stay in touch.

Hey Josh and Amanda. Hope all is well on the trail. Have you guys been through the trails around Mt. Rogers in VA. The scenery there is beautiful this time of year. It's cool to follow your progress. Stay safe and good hiking!!!!

Hey guys! Just had someone join my buddy list on myspace because she's been following your journal and saw me mentioned on yours! Was thinking I'd have to link to yours now... But she pointed out that I already was! I thought your website sounded familiar when you told me what it was! I found yours long ago, and loved your map, and linked to it from my blog. lol Small world after all! --Hammer

Josh and Amanda,\r\n\r\nI\'m having a lot of fun following your progress! I have a trail name now but if you remember I\'m the one with the web site I just started 4 days ago! I\'m as far as Woody Gap, and came into town for the night and am about to head back out there. Supposed to be raining pretty good but it\'ll be nice to make some miles. Seems wrong to have spent a dry night in a hotel only 3 days in, but I guess tornado warnings can do that to you. Good luck, and I\'ll look forward to reading more. Don\'t forget to check in on my site!
