You're my hero and heroine. What a brilliantly romantic thing to do. I wish you "yi lu ping an"--safe travels.

Great site! Many good wishes on your journey. I'm starting from Springer around the first week of April so may never see you on the trail, but they'll be many kindred spirits out there I'm sure. Perhaps we'll meet at Trail Fest in Damascus! Enjoy the winter hiking - I just did two weeks in the snow in Shenandoah NP and was fine except for cold hands during the day and cold feet at night. In extreme cold used the hand warmers packets in the socks at night and would recommend mittens (I didn't have them)instead of gloves for warmth and the ability to use the handwarmers. I'll follow your progress as I hope to be following you all the way up to Maine!

Great map. I'm getting ready for the CDT and looking at the map and guide books it all makes much more sense. Good luck on your hike I know you will love it. Look forward to following along. I'm sure I'll forward it to other so they can see what it looks like where hikes are when on one of the three trails. Thanks again.

Amanda and Josh,

I LOVE the site! What an exciting adventure you two are getting ready to start. I look forward to following y'all's progress through the site.

Also, I loved your "about us" descriptions :)

Remember to avoid essentialist apriorism along the way ... just kidding! Had to throw a little obscure and obtuse social theory jargon in there ...

Now, go take a hike!
