Amanda and Josh-

I am so excited that you will be sharing this journey with everyone. My students and I will be checking on your progress and living vicariously through your extraordinary experience. I wish you both the best and hope that through your travels you find all the beautiful splendor that solitude in nature has to offer.
Enjoy and God speed,

Kati (Lebick) Meyer

The maps are fantastic - thanks for that work. I will be hiking the section from Davenport Gap to Erwin starting March 15th, so there's a chance I'll get to thank you in person, depending on how quick you hike. Best of luck in your hike!

Dear Amanda and Josh
This may not be your first big step together, and may not be your biggest step together in life. But remember our thoughts and prayers are with you through each and every step of the trail, as it is in every endeavor of your life. May your Love for each other grow in life, in every step you take on the journey! Slow and steady and with guiding vigilance, one step at a time you will be able to achieve what many only dream in life. Remember as long as we breathe we will be behind you, may not always agree but will be there for you. At last we leave you with An Irish Blessing:
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
The rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you In the palm of His hand.

Love Ya Babe and Josh
Dad and Mom
