I'm so excited for you! Luke and I will follow your progress and be so happy and jealous! I know with you two cooking, there will be some gourmet backpacking meals! Have so much fun. Try to live each moment without expectations...so hard to do but ya know. Love you Amanda!

Just wanted to let you know that I love you both and will be thinking of you on your journey. I am sure this will be the one of many. Take care of each other and I will be checking on you. Love Aunt Barb.

You're my hero and heroine. What a brilliantly romantic thing to do. I wish you "yi lu ping an"--safe travels.

thanks for the website. im looking forward to tracking your progress. well wishes from all of us up north.
Great site! Cant wait to follow your hike. Im the Ga section and part of the NC section in May. Good luck and hope all goes well.
Great site! Many good wishes on your journey. I'm starting from Springer around the first week of April so may never see you on the trail, but they'll be many kindred spirits out there I'm sure. Perhaps we'll meet at Trail Fest in Damascus! Enjoy the winter hiking - I just did two weeks in the snow in Shenandoah NP and was fine except for cold hands during the day and cold feet at night. In extreme cold used the hand warmers packets in the socks at night and would recommend mittens (I didn't have them)instead of gloves for warmth and the ability to use the handwarmers. I'll follow your progress as I hope to be following you all the way up to Maine!
Great Maps! Wish that I had them for my own AT hike. I look forward to following your progress. Remember to "Live in the Moment"

Great map. I'm getting ready for the CDT and looking at the map and guide books it all makes much more sense. Good luck on your hike I know you will love it. Look forward to following along. I'm sure I'll forward it to other so they can see what it looks like where hikes are when on one of the three trails. Thanks again.
