Leinenkugel! I heard someone else was drinking my beer.
But I never thought they would be on the AT. I've enjoyed your entries on both Trail Journals and this
web site. Be well supplied when you get to No Business.
Enjoy your walk.

Glad to hear you are doing fine. The pic's are great also !
Thought you may be interested in this I found at Scotts blog :http://www.creekside.net/walkaboutblog/PermaLink,guid,d08d2e86-8533-4739-bf57-fe47db9cd910.aspx

Has to do with those pesky shelter mice we hear so much about. I don't know about you guys, but those critters would drive me NUTS !
Put three or four cotton-balls in a 35mm film canister then put several drops

of Oil of Peppermint on them. When turning in for the night, open the film

canister, pull up a cotton-ball and the Oil of Peppermint keeps the mice away!!!

Don't know if this works, but may be worth a try, eh ?
Have you ever heard of this trick ?
Hope the weather is great for you, and the walk is fantastic !

Just looking on trailjournals to see who was in mid - nc so far when i came across your journal. Like your map. FYI, night hiking in the fog is a lot easier if you hold your headlamps at waist level (less glare - better visibility). Enjoy your trip.
