Hi, Amanda and Josh! I feel terrible that I haven't
kept in touch. I have stayed so busy. Have been to
Charlotte three times this past month and to Raleigh
for a wedding this past weekend, with lots of things to
catch up on at home in between. Have spent the evening
reading your journals. Your impressions are really facinating. I think it's too late for me to mail something to get to you by April 5th, but I will try to
surprise you with something at your following stopover...maybe, just maybe.... some molasses sugar cookies!!! You have been in my thoughts so much. Love, Bea

Hi Josh and Amanda! I have been keeping up with you through your mother at church. Josh may remember me. I told Tammie that I would look at your website and have just finally got around to doing it. I hope you guys stay safe and I will check your site again later.

Hi Josh and Amanda. We\'ve been trailing you the last few weeks. We got behind you when we left the Smoky Mountains for Gatlinburg due to the flu bug. We stayed there 2 nights to try to get more food in our bodies. But we\'ve been tracking your progress via the registers and other hikers. We only have one complaint. You are supposed to respect your elders! Have your parents not educated you on this simple concept? Why you ask?? Well, because we are still climbing over a lot of blowdowns that you were supposed to clear for us! Please do a better job in the future! \r\n\r\nWe\'re in the Damascus area for a few days enjoying a friends cabin. Will head out Monday mid morning, so perhaps we will meet up again further up the trail.\r\n\r\nBest of luck to you both and Amanda, I hope your foot/ankle gets better soon! Take it easy!

Josh & Amanda,
Hello! I work with Josh's dad @ Weyco. A great freind of mine and I have been going to the spring Bristol NASCAR race (recently week end of 3/14). We stay at Uncle Johnnies Hostel outside of Ernul TN. It appears you are close to that point now. Last year we decided after retirement we will hike the trail (we're old 49/51). This will be a nice transition from company/business world to life after which I plan to stay plenty productive thru. It is awesome the two of you have chosen to take the time to enjoy each other and nature on the front end of your lives/careers. Will keep track of you. Looking forward to learning.
God Bless,

Hi Josh,
long time ago since we last spoke. First of all Congratulation to your wedding! Jason told me about your site. It looks amazing. Have fun on your trip! And when you are ready you can come to Europe and do the way of St. James from Germany to Spain! ;-) Take Care!

My husband (trail name Stovie) is hiking the trail and told me about your website. He's a couple days behind you. Now with your cool map I can see where he is. I also get a sneak peak of whats coming since you guys are ahead of him. I just wanted to say GREAT website and the map with all the shelters labeled is really nice, especially for all the people at home trying to keep track of their loved ones who are walking the trail.
