Hi Josh and Amanda,

Met you guys up at the Springer Mt Shelter Sunday night (2/17/2008). Spoke with you guys a little bit. I truly hope you have a great hike up to Maine. I honestly didn't want to head back south Monday morning however, work beckoned. I look forward to keeping up with your journals and tracking your progress. Let me know if I can help you guys out where I can.

I met you on whiteblaze; I'm the one with the AT blog you found. I'll be more than a month behind you guys, leaving April 1. Wish I could get on the trail sooner! Good luck to you and I look forward to following along.

Hi Josh and Amanda!

It's a little different coming to this website as a normal user rather than a technical consultant. The site looks great... especially the parts that I had nothing to do with!

Hope your first few days of hiking have been fun. Em and I will definitely come out and join you for a stretch or two. I should have plenty of time to do that. I figure that if Josh isn't going into the lab for 6 months, then I don't need to either!

Best wishes,

Amanda and Josh-

I am so excited that you will be sharing this journey with everyone. My students and I will be checking on your progress and living vicariously through your extraordinary experience. I wish you both the best and hope that through your travels you find all the beautiful splendor that solitude in nature has to offer.
Enjoy and God speed,

Kati (Lebick) Meyer
