Amanda and Josh,

I LOVE the site! What an exciting adventure you two are getting ready to start. I look forward to following y'all's progress through the site.

Also, I loved your "about us" descriptions :)

Remember to avoid essentialist apriorism along the way ... just kidding! Had to throw a little obscure and obtuse social theory jargon in there ...

Now, go take a hike!

hey I got this link from whiteblaze. very cool site, everything is set up really well. I had a question about the map. how does one go about loading the trail and shelters into a google map?

Nice site. I'll check back periodically to see how you're doing. I agree that you don't have to be a secret superhero to thru-hike, but you do need a lot of mental fortitude once you get through the inevitable early aches and pains. Hang in there and enjoy each day!

Note that you can use the GPS coordinates from the map to get an approximate view using Google Earth. I found the coordinates for Mahoosuc Notch and Speck Pond Shelter to get a sense for what it will look like when I get the chance to do that section. Cool!
